About Mark Birnbaum
Catch Hospitality Group co-founder Mark Birnbaum has played a major role in transforming New York City’s Meatpacking District into one of the most sought-after areas in the city. Dubbed by Forbes Magazine as one of the “New Kings of New York Hospitality,” he, along with partner Eugene Remm, have continued to develop Catch Hospitality Group into a multi-faceted hub for successful venue ownership and operation since the company’s incorporation in 2006.
Identifying a need for establishments that offer multiple experiences within the same property, Catch Hospitality Group has introduced synergy between restaurants and nightlife, opening venues in numerous markets that create seamless transitions between dining and entertainment.
In the present day, Birnbaum and his partner continue to pioneer multi-faceted hospitality experiences while shifting focus to the expansion of the CATCH (2011) and CATCH STEAK (2019) brands. With its multi-level flagship located in the heart of New York City’s Meatpacking District, the globally-influenced seafood restaurant has expanded to Los Angeles and Las Vegas at the ARIA Resort & Casino while its sister concept Catch Steak opened its premiere location in New York City, followed by Aspen and Los Angeles.
Catch Hospitality Group partners Tilman Fertitta, Mark Birnbaum and Eugene Remm have propelled the success of globally influenced seafood restaurant CATCH (2011) from a standalone NYC flagship to a multi-unit, brand-driven icon with successful locations in Los Angeles and Las Vegas at the ARIA Resort & Casino and locations in Miami Beach and Dallas slated for 2023 and 2024, respectively. Sister concept CATCH STEAK (2019) opened its premiere location in NYC followed by outposts in Aspen (2021) and Los Angeles (2022).
