About Mark Birnbaum
Catch Hospitality Group co-founder Mark Birnbaum has played a major role in transforming New York City’s Meatpacking District into one of the most sought-after areas in the city. Dubbed by Forbes Magazine as one of the “New Kings of New York Hospitality," he, along with partners Tilman Fertitta and Eugene Remm, have continued to develop Catch Hospitality Group into a bi-coastal, multi-market operation since the company’s partnership with Fertitta’s privately owned Landry’s, Inc. in 2017.
Identifying a need for establishments that offer multiple experiences within the same property, Catch Hospitality Group has introduced synergy between restaurants and nightlife, opening venues in numerous markets that create seamless transitions between dining and entertainment.
In the present day, Birnbaum and his partners continue to pioneer multi-faceted hospitality experiences while shifting focus to the expansion of the CATCH (2011) and CATCH STEAK (2019) brands. With its multi-level flagship located in the heart of New York City’s Meatpacking District, the globally-influenced seafood restaurant has expanded to Los Angeles, Las Vegas at the ARIA Resort & Casino, Miami Beach, and soon Dallas and Scottsdale, while its sister concept Catch Steak opened its premiere location in New York City, followed by outposts in Aspen and Los Angeles.
Since 2011, Catch Hospitality Group has grown from a standalone NYC flagship into one of the most renowned restaurant groups best-known for CATCH and CATCH STEAK. Partners Tilman Fertitta, Mark Birnbaum and Eugene Remm have propelled the group's success with a team-first mentality and relentless pursuit of the brand's 3 core principles: great food, great service, and great vibe. CHG's thoughtful expansion continues to pioneer dynamic hospitality experiences in major markets: New York City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Aspen, Miami Beach, and soon Dallas and Scottsdale.
A multi-unit icon with 7 successful locations and 2 more under construction, CATCH was first introduced to New York City's Meatpacking District in 2011 and has since expanded to Los Angeles (2016), Las Vegas at the ARIA Resort & Casino (2018), and Miami Beach (2024). Sister concept CATCH STEAK opened its premiere New York City location in 2019, just a few blocks away from CATCH, and followed with outposts in Aspen (2021) and Los Angeles (2022). CHG looks forward to CATCH's Texas and Arizona expansion to Maple Terrace in Uptown Dallas (2024) and Fashion Square in the heart of Downtown Scottsdale (2025).
